Petroleum Products’ Sales Surge by 10.4% in June 2025

Nicosia: The total sales of petroleum products in June 2025 amounted to 140,669 tonnes, marking an increase of 10.4% compared to June 2024, according to data published on Monday by the Statistical Service.

According to Cyprus News Agency, a significant rise was observed in the provisions of marine gasoil, which surged by 228.6%, and aviation kerosene, which saw a 20.4% increase. Additionally, sales of kerosene went up by 320%, heating gasoil by 30%, liquefied petroleum gases by 19.4%, asphalt by 9.2%, road diesel by 7.1%, and motor gasoline by 4.6%.

Conversely, there was a notable decline in sales of light and heavy fuel oil, which dropped by 72.2% and 38.3% respectively.

Sales from filling stations specifically increased by 7.4%, reaching 60,113 tonnes. When comparing June 2025 to the previous month of May, total sales of petroleum products recorded an increase of 4.6%. Notably, aviation kerosene provisions rose by 13.7%, while sales of kerosene increased by 15.7%, road diesel by 3.8%, and motor gasoline by 2.3%. However, sales of heavy and light fuel oil decreased by 45.1% and 18.2% respectively.

The total stocks of petroleum products at the end of June 2025 rose by 28.9% compared to the end of the previous month. During the period from January to June 2025, the total sales of petroleum products increased by 3.9% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
