Nicosia: Over 37,000 kilograms of batteries were recycled in the first half of 2025 through initiatives organised by AFIS Cyprus, the organization, which is the licensed Collective Management System for Portable Batteries and Accumulators, announced on Monday.
According to Cyprus News Agency, AFIS Cyprus lists in a press release various activities that took place from January to June, while noting that it “continues to place strong emphasis on educating the public about battery recycling.”
“By the end of May 2025, AFIS Cyprus had collected 37,161 kilograms of batteries, bringing the total amount recycled since its inception to 972,844 kilograms.
