In 2023, 12,439 new volunteer donors were registered in the Cyprus Voluntary Bone Marrow Donor Registry, the Karaiskakio Foundation said in a press release on Tuesday.
According to the press release, 59 transplant grafts have been given to 16 different countries, such as Italy, America, Germany, Cyprus, Greece, Romania, France, England, Poland, Bulgaria, Iran, Australia, Canada, Holland, Spain and Russia, thus giving patients a second chance in life.
