Nicosia: In 2024, a total of 10,098 third-country nationals returned to their countries of origin through the repatriation procedures for third-country nationals residing illegally in Cyprus, the Police said.
According to Cyprus News Agency, a total of 271 individuals who were residing illegally in Cyprus were repatriated in the last week, January 9-15, 2025, as part of the intensive efforts made by the Police to return third-country nationals to their countries of origin through voluntary and forced repatriation procedures.
In the same context, another 170 individuals were repatriated on Thursday, January 16, following a new large-scale operation conducted by members of the Police Aliens’ and Immigration Units.
Efforts by Police to maximize the number of repatriations of individuals residing illegally in the territory of the Republic of Cyprus continue daily, the press release added.
