In January 2022, the total sales of petroleum products recorded a 25.8% increase compared to January 2021, amounting to 112,423 tonnes. On the other hand, compared to December of 2021, they recorded a drop of over 13%.
In particular, according to the Statistical Service of Cyprus, an increase was observed in the provisions of aviation kerosene (216.5%) and marine gasoil (46.2%), as well as in the sales of kerosene (34.7%), heating gasoil (34.1%), liquefied petroleum gases (28.6%), motor gasoline (27.4%), light fuel oil (16.3%) and road diesel (5.1%).
On the contrary, a decrease was recorded in the sales of asphalt (36.8%) and heavy fuel oil (35.8%). Sales from petrol stations registered an increase of 21.4% to 54,682 tonnes.
