Paphos: The Open University of Cyprus (OUC), specifically the OUC Mobility Office, is organizing an Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) titled ‘Current Trends and Developments in International Investment Law and International Commercial and Investment Arbitration’. The event is scheduled to take place in Paphos, Cyprus, from June 23 to June 27, 2025. Assistant Professor Chrysthia Papacleovoulou is the scientific coordinator of the programme, which aims to explore and present contemporary trends in International Arbitration as an alternative means of resolving disputes in sectors such as investment and trade. The programme will facilitate discussions and exchanges of views between teachers and students.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the BIP will be hosted at the American University of Beirut – Mediterraneo Campus and coordinated by the OUC. The consortium comprises universities from five countries: National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, FernUniversity in Hagen, Riga Graduate School of Law, University of Hamburg, University of Kragujevac, and Bucharest University of Economic Studies. Academics, scholars, and professionals in the field of law will participate by delivering presentations, lectures, and engaging in conversations. The programme is held under the auspices of the Cyprus Bar Association and the Cyprus Arbitration and Mediation Centre.
BIPs facilitate the Erasmus+ programme by offering innovative actions, serving as short-term programmes that promote knowledge and collaboration through advanced teaching methods.
