Omonia Takes Commanding Lead with Victory in Cyprus League

Nicosia: Omonia Nicosia emerged as the big winner of the 21st round of the Cyprus League by Stoiximan, securing a 4-2 away victory over Pafos FC on Sunday at the Stelios Kyriakides Stadium. The win left Omonia 11 points ahead of Pafos in the standings.

According to Cyprus News Agency, AEK Larnaca sits alone in second place, five points ahead of Omonia, after claiming a 2-1 victory over APOEL at the GSP Stadium earlier on Sunday. Apollon Limassol moved up to third place, capitalizing on Pafos' defeat, following a 3-1 home win over Olympiacos at the Alphamega Stadium.

The 21st round was completed on Monday, with Anorthosis, Krasava Ypsonas, and Omonia Aradippou all recording victories. The results of the weekend matches were as follows: ENP was defeated by Ethnikos 0-2 on Saturday, while Sunday saw Pafos FC fall to Omonia 2-4, APOEL lose to AEK 1-2, and Apollon overcome Olympiacos 3-1.

Monday concluded the round with Aris losing to Anorthosis 0-1, Krasava Ypsonas defeating AEL 3-0, and Omonia Aradippou securing a 2-0 win over Akritas Chlorakas.
