Oman Ambassador Reaffirms Commitment to Cyprus Reunification Based on UN Resolutions.

Nicosia: The Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman in Cyprus has reaffirmed his country’s support for the reunification of Cyprus, emphasizing alignment with United Nations resolutions regarding the Cyprus issue. This announcement was made during an event celebrating Oman’s 54th Glorious National Day, a significant occasion observed annually on November 18th.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the Embassy of Oman in the Republic of Cyprus issued a press release highlighting the celebration. The event was attended by George Papanastasiou, Cyprus’s Minister of Energy, Commerce, and Industry, along with officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, members of Parliament, accredited ambassadors in Cyprus, and various other guests.

During the festivities, Mohammed Al-Nahdi, the Omani Ambassador to Cyprus, delivered a speech underscoring the strong political and economic ties between Oman and Cyprus. He specifically mentioned collaboration in areas such as the economy, trade, tourism, and higher education. Al-Nahdi
reiterated Oman’s dedication to supporting Cyprus in its pursuit of a brighter future for its citizens and the reunification of the island, in accordance with UN resolutions.

Furthermore, Ambassador Al-Nahdi expressed Oman’s ongoing commitment to fostering peace, prosperity, and sustainability both regionally and globally.
