Nicosia: Cyprus Stock Exchange officials met on Monday in Nicosia with officials from National Stock Exchange of India, following the recent signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, according to a CSE press release.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the officials agreed to continue their efforts for the practical implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding, with the aim of obtaining mutual benefit for both markets. The meeting took place between Ashish Chauhan, MD and CEO of NSE Group and V Bala, MD and CEO of NSE IX, and a delegation headed by the Chairman of the Board of the CSE, Marinos Christodoulides.
Christodoulides stated that the meeting occurred within the framework of strengthening business and investment relations between the two countries. This initiative aligns with the discussions presented by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, who visited Cyprus on Sunday and Monday.
The cooperation between the two stock exchanges focuses on exploring the possibility of developing collaboration in areas related to investment, new financial products, and parallel listing of companies on the stock exchanges, the press release noted.
