Nicosia: Cyprus experienced a range of temperatures today, with Nicosia recording the highest at 41°C.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the Department of Meteorology provided detailed temperature readings for various locations across the island. The data indicated that while Nicosia reached the peak temperature, other areas like Larnaka Airport and Frenaros recorded a high of 36°C.
The report also highlighted that Limassol's New Port saw a high of 34°C, whereas Pafos Airport recorded a slightly cooler high of 32°C. In terms of humidity at 1200 UTC, Pafos Airport experienced the highest humidity level at 65%, followed by Frenaros at 45%, and Limassol at 48%. The lowest humidity was recorded in Nicosia at 13%.
Prodromos, known for its cooler climate, recorded the lowest high temperature at 31°C and a low of 19°C. Polis Pafos, on the other hand, matched Frenaros and Larnaka Airport with a high of 36°C but had slightly lower humidity at 31%. These temperature variations across Cyprus illustrate the differing climatic conditions experienced on the island today.
