Nicosia: Cyprus' Foreign Minister, Constantinos Kombos, has announced that the country is closely observing the escalating situation in the region and maintaining constant communication with its embassies. He emphasized this during a statement made on Saturday.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the Minister shared on the social media platform 'X' that the Special National Plan ESTIA has been activated. This plan serves as the National Action Plan of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, designed to facilitate the safe evacuation of citizens from crisis-affected areas in the wider Middle East region via Cyprus in times of emergency or crisis.
Furthermore, the Minister highlighted that the Crisis Management Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is actively engaged and on standby to respond to the evolving situation.
