According to Cyprus News Agency, Cyprus Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos has requested Kaja Kallas, the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, to convene an extraordinary meeting of the EU Foreign Ministers. This meeting aims to thoroughly discuss the rapidly evolving developments in the Middle East and to coordinate further EU engagement.
As CNA learns, the message from Nicosia emphasizes that “the dangerously escalating situation in the Middle East is at the focus of our attention” and stresses that diplomacy and dialogue must prevail.
