Nicosia: The new Commissioner responsible for Migration, Magnus Brunner, is scheduled to visit Cyprus on Friday, January 17th. During his visit, Brunner will engage in discussions with several Cypriot ministers.
According to Cyprus News Agency, Brunner’s itinerary in Nicosia includes a meeting with Deputy Minister for Migration and International Protection, Nikolas Ioannidis. The discussions are expected to focus on migration issues pertinent to Cyprus and the broader European context.
Brunner will also meet with Minister for Foreign Affairs, Constantinos Kombos, to discuss foreign policy aspects related to migration. Additionally, Brunner is set to confer with Minister for Justice and Public Order, Marios Hartsiotis, to address legal and public order concerns associated with migration.
These meetings signify Brunner’s commitment to addressing migration challenges and his intent to strengthen cooperation with Cyprus on this critical issue.
