The Field Office of the Directorate-General for Translation at the Representation of the European Commission in Cyprus, together with the Language Centre of the University of Cyprus, celebrate the European Day of Languages, an event dedicated to multilingualism and multiculturalism in a borderless society with open horizons.
On Wednesday 28/09/22, we invite you to celebrate with us, at the premises of the University of Cyprus, the most important driver of multiculturalism, communication! The first part of the event will take place in person from 10.00 a.m. until 12.30 p.m. in room B108 in the “Anastasios Leventis” building and includes an academic round-table discussion on “Multilingualism and Lifelong Learning of Languages”. The event will be available on live stream on this website.
For the second part of the event, which will take place online on the same day, from 11.00 a.m. to 14.00 p.m., we invite Cypriots and all European citizens, regardless of their age.
We organise 15-minute online courses so that you can get a taste and hear the sound of a language other than your mother tongue, with the help of the experienced teachers of the Language Centre, the Greek Language School and the Confucius Institute. More than 700 places are available in 10 different languages. Don’t miss the unique opportunity to take part in a short course and get a taste of the languages that are being offered in the University of Cyprus.
WE ARE EXPECTING YOU!
