Nicosia: Marios Georgiou won the gold medal in the Artistic Gymnastics Individual All-Around competition at the 20th Mediterranean Games 'Taranto 2026', delivering an excellent performance to score 80.450 points.
According to Cyprus News Agency, with his gold medal in Taranto, Marios Georgiou becomes the most decorated Cypriot athlete in the history of the Mediterranean Games, with a total of seven medals.
He is also the first Cypriot athlete to win four gold medals at the Mediterranean Games. At the same time, he becomes the second Cypriot athlete, after Eleni Artymata, to win gold medals at three consecutive editions.
