Taranto: Filippa Fotopoulou won the gold medal in the long jump on Monday at the 20th Mediterranean Games in Taranto, adding another medal to Cyprus' collection following silver medals earlier in the day for Elena Kulichenko in the high jump and Milan Trajkovic in the 110m hurdles. According to Cyprus News Agency, the latest successes brought Cyprus' total medal count at the Games to 13, comprising five gold, five silver, and three bronze medals, underlining the Cypriot delegation's strong performance in Taranto. Cyprus also recorded a strong presence in gymnastics, while the Cyprus women's 3x3 basketball team advanced to the semi-finals. The country's sailing team also remains in contention for medals.
