Major General Charis Georgiou Appointed as New Deputy Chief of National Guard

Nicosia: The Cabinet has decided to appoint Major General Charis Georgiou as the new Deputy Chief of the National Guard, effective from January 1, 2027. The decision was made during a meeting on Saturday.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the Cabinet also decided to extend the term of the current Deputy Chief, Lieutenant General Neophytos Pachoulides, until December 31, 2026. This extension ensures a seamless transition of responsibilities to Major General Georgiou at the start of the new year in 2027.
