Low Pressure System Brings Strong Winds and Thunderstorms to Cyprus Sea Area.

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus, indicating a low pressure system affecting the region. Residents and mariners can expect local showers and thunderstorms, with hail anticipated during storm events. Surface winds are predicted to be strong, variable, and gusty.

According to Cyprus News Agency, visibility in the area is generally good but is expected to become moderate to poor during showers. The sea surface temperature is currently recorded at 23°C, and there are no warnings issued for the period. The forecast covers a sea area extending 8 kilometers from the Cyprus coast and is valid from 1200 on November 17, 2024, until 1200 on November 18, 2024. Atmospheric pressure at the time of issue was noted at 1012 hPa.
