Low Pressure Brings Fog and Mist to Cyprus Sea Area

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area of Cyprus, predicting conditions for a 24-hour period starting from noon on July 16, 2025, and concluding at noon on July 17, 2025. The forecast covers an area extending 8 kilometers seawards and includes local times for its predictions.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the area is currently under the influence of a seasonal low-pressure system, with an atmospheric pressure reading of 1004 hPa. This weather pattern is expected to bring locally increased low and medium cloud coverage. Additionally, during the night and early morning hours, local mist and fog patches are anticipated, significantly reducing visibility. Although visibility is generally good, it is expected to become moderate to poor in mist and very poor in fog.

The sea surface temperature in the area is recorded at 27°C. Despite the presence of low pressure, no warnings have been issued for the sea area of Cyprus.
