Low Pressure Brings Cloudy Weather and Showers to Cyprus Sea Area

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area of Cyprus, indicating that low pressure is currently affecting the region. The weather is expected to be locally cloudy with local showers and isolated thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, the winds will be variable and intensify, impacting visibility which is anticipated to be moderate to poor during showers.

According to Cyprus News Agency, atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast issuance is measured at 1011 hPa. The sea surface temperature in the area is reported to be 22°C. Despite the weather conditions, no warnings have been issued for the forecast period.

The forecast details indicate varying wind conditions and sea states across different coastal regions. On the west coast, morning winds will range from northeast to southeast at a Beaufort scale of 3 to 4, shifting later to southeast to south at 4 to 5. The sea state is expected to be slight, becoming slight to moderate as the day progresses. The south coas
t will experience northeast to southeast winds in the morning, with a slight sea state that may become slight to moderate locally. By afternoon, southeast to southwest winds will prevail at 4 to 5, locally reaching 5, with the sea condition remaining slight to moderate.

The east coast will have northeast to southeast winds in the morning, locally variable at 4, with a slight to moderate sea state. In the afternoon, winds will shift to southeast to south at 4, occasionally reaching 4 to 5, maintaining a slight to moderate sea state. For the night, the east coast will experience south to southwest winds at 4, occasionally shifting to southwest to northwest at 3 to 4, with the sea remaining slight.

Conditions on the north coast will see southeast to southwest winds in the morning, later increasing to 4 to 5, with the sea state starting as slight and becoming slight to moderate. Afternoon conditions will have southeast to southwest winds at 4 to 5, locally near the coast at 3 to 4, with a slight to moderate sea
