Low Pressure and Changing Winds Affect Cyprus Sea Area

Nicosia: Weak low pressure and a relatively warm air mass are impacting the sea area around Cyprus, as reported by the Cyprus Department of Meteorology. The forecast, covering an 8-kilometer zone seaward from Cyprus, indicates that medium and high clouds will intermittently increase, leading to changes in wind direction and strength.

According to Cyprus News Agency, tonight will see a gradual increase in low cloud coverage, particularly over the western and northern coasts. Dust is expected to remain suspended in the atmosphere, although visibility is predicted to be good. The sea surface temperature is recorded at 20°C, with no warnings issued for the period between 0600 on May 11, 2025, and 0600 on May 12, 2025. Atmospheric pressure at the time of the report was 1009 hPa.
