Larnaca Hosts European Conference for Air Navigation Services

Larnaca: The conference of National Supervisory Authorities for Air Navigation Services in Europe is taking place on Tuesday and Wednesday in Larnaca.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the conference will contribute to the coordination of state members, the formulation of common approaches to issues related to the performance and harmonisation of air navigation services, while strengthening the country's role as a reliable partner in the European aviation sector.

It is noted that particular emphasis will be placed on services vital to aviation safety, such as air traffic control, communications, and air traffic surveillance in Europe. The conference will be attended by representatives from the members of the European Union, as well as senior officials from the European Commission.

Petros Stratis, a Senior Official of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, who is the chairman of the Council of National Supervisory Authorities for Air Navigation Services from 2025, represents the Council in his role and participates in discussions and consultations with the European Commission, as well as with other international organizations active in the field of aviation. The conference is held under the auspices of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
