Limassol: The Archaeological Sites of Kourion, the Sanctuary of Apollo Hylates, and Kolossi Castle will remain closed to the public today, Thursday, the Department of Antiquities of the Deputy Ministry of Culture said.
According to Cyprus News Agency, this is a precautionary measure taken due to the severe wildfire that has affected the Limassol area. The department emphasizes that the decision to close these sites is based on concerns over safety.
The press release from the department highlights that the extremely bad air quality, high temperatures, and the risk of fires reigniting in certain areas pose threats to visitors’ safety.
