Brussels: Cyprus' Foreign Affairs Minister Constantinos Kombos will take part in the EU Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) in Brussels on Monday, focusing on the ongoing situations in Ukraine, Gaza, Iran, and Syria. The meeting aims to address pressing international issues and coordinate responses among EU member states.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the Ministry has announced that the Council's proceedings will include discussions on developments related to Russia's aggression against Ukraine. This topic remains a significant concern for the EU, and the Council will explore strategic responses and support measures.
A working lunch is scheduled with Nickolay Mladenov, the High Representative for Gaza, where discussions will center around the current circumstances in the region. The announcement also noted that the ministers will exchange views on the Middle East, placing particular emphasis on developments in Iran and Syria.
In addition to the main agenda, Minister Kombos will engage in meetings and contacts with counterparts and other officials on the sidelines of the Council, facilitating further diplomatic dialogue and cooperation.
