Warsaw: Minister of Justice and Public Order, Marios Hartziotis, travels to Warsaw on Tuesday to participate in the proceedings of the EU informal Council of Justice and Home Affairs Ministers’ meeting, which will take place on January 30 and 31, 2025.
According to Cyprus News Agency, a press release from the Ministry of Justice stated that the Council will examine significant issues, such as the main challenges and threats to the internal security of the EU, with the aim of drafting the new European Internal Security Strategy for the period 2025-2029.
Issues concerning rule of law and mutual cooperation among member states in the field of justice, as well as ways to address the consequences of war crimes committed in Ukraine, will also be discussed.
The Minister is expected to return to Cyprus late on Friday evening.
