Doha:The Minister for Justice and Public Order, Costas Fytiris, attended the 16th Milipol Qatar 2026 International Internal Security Exhibition in Doha as part of his official visit to Qatar. Accompanying him was Elpidoforos Oikonomou, the Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Qatar.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the exhibition, organized by the Qatari Ministry of the Interior, is running from October 20 to 22. It gathers government authorities, experts, and companies involved in security and civil protection to showcase the latest technologies and equipment.

The exhibition features advancements in combating organized crime and cybercrime, protecting critical infrastructure, and securing airports, ports, and borders. It also highlights communication and operational coordination systems, applications for correctional facilities, and fire-fighting and rescue equipment.

The visit aims to enhance the operational capabilities of the Police, the Fire Service, and the Prisons Department. Keeping up with technological developments is intended to evaluate solutions that address the actual needs of these services, aiding in crime prevention, investigation, and emergency management.
