June 2026 Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices Records Annual Increase of 4.1%

Nicosia: The Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices experienced a 4.1% increase in June 2026 compared to the same month in 2025 and a 0.9% rise between May and June 2026.

According to Cyprus News Agency, when compared with June 2025, the categories of Recreation, Sports and Culture (9.7%) and Restaurants and Accommodation Services (8.9%) demonstrated the most significant positive changes. Conversely, Clothing and Footwear (-8.0%) and Information and Communication (-2.9%) witnessed the largest negative changes.

Meanwhile, comparing the figures from May 2026, the most notable changes were seen in the categories of Restaurants and Accommodation Services (3.4%), Recreation, Sports and Culture (1.9%), and Housing, Water, Electricity, Natural Gas and Other Fuels (1.6%).

Among the economic categories, the category Energy displayed the largest change with a 13.0% increase compared to June 2025, while Services showed a 1.8% increase compared to May 2026.
