Nicosia: Israel's President Isaac Herzog is set to embark on a one-day diplomatic visit to Cyprus on Thursday, following an invitation from President Nikos Christodoulides, as announced by the Israeli Presidency on Monday. The visit aims to enhance cooperation and strengthen the ties between the two nations.
According to Cyprus News Agency, President Herzog will be welcomed at the Presidential Palace by President Christodoulides. The agenda includes a diplomatic meeting focused on deepening collaboration and fostering relations between Israel and Cyprus. This will be succeeded by a bilateral meeting with both delegations, led by their respective Presidents. President Herzog and President Christodoulides are expected to deliver opening remarks during this session.
The visit represents a continuation of the working relationship between the two leaders. President Christodoulides previously visited Israel in December 2025, where he met with President Herzog at the President's Residence in Jerusalem.
