All Actions Aimed at Strengthening Our Country’s Strength, President Says

Nicosia: All our actions are aimed at strengthening the internal and external factors of our country's strength, something which also helps in the effort to resolve the Cyprus problem, President Nikos Christodoulides said on Monday afternoon.

According to Cyprus News Agency, President Christodoulides made these remarks upon his arrival at a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Pancyprian Grain Producers' Organisation. Responding to a journalist's comment about the importance of the week ahead, the President highlighted his upcoming 'very important visit' to Egypt on Tuesday. During this visit, he is expected to hold both a bilateral meeting and a trilateral meeting, which will include the presence of the Greek Prime Minister.

The President further elaborated on his schedule, noting a planned meeting with the Turkish Cypriot leader on Wednesday morning. He expressed his readiness to engage in several more meetings before heading to New York, stating his willingness to meet daily if necessary.

President Christodoulides also mentioned the anticipated visit of the President of Israel to Nicosia on Thursday, emphasizing the considerable activity related to regional developments. He underscored the importance of a trilateral meeting of the Defence Ministers of Cyprus, Greece, and Egypt, which is expected to occur soon, followed by a meeting of the Foreign Ministers.

He concluded by announcing that Cyprus will host the official trilateral meeting and remarked on the significance of these regional and domestic developments. The President reiterated that all actions are aimed at reinforcing the country's strength internally and externally, which also contributes to resolving the Cyprus problem.
