Nicosia: The Embassy of Israel in Cyprus on Tuesday “categorically” denied “the false and misleading report” suggesting that it issued serious security warnings to Israeli citizens on the island.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the Embassy released a press statement asserting that the report “is a complete fabrication with no basis in fact.” It emphasized, “At no point has the Embassy issued such instructions or warnings.”
The Embassy further expressed its disappointment, stating, “It is regrettable and unfortunate that news outlets publish unverified and false claims without seeking confirmation from reliable sources.”
The statement concluded by noting that such reports not only mislead readers but can create unnecessary alarm among the public.
