Nicosia: The Israeli attack, in violation of Qatar’s sovereignty, has been deemed ‘utterly unacceptable’ by Cyprus’ Foreign Ministry. The ministry emphasized that such actions pose a risk to regional peace and security.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the Ministry highlighted this stance in a post on X, stating that the Israeli attack violates Qatar’s sovereignty and is considered utterly unacceptable. While acknowledging Hamas as a terrorist organization, the ministry stressed that actions infringing upon Qatar’s territorial integrity threaten regional peace and security and are not permissible under international law.
Cyprus has reiterated its call for an immediate ceasefire, the release of all hostages, and a significant increase in humanitarian aid for civilians in Gaza.
