NICOSIA: Minister of Finance Makis Keravnos has highlighted the significant efforts made by the Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency (Invest Cyprus) in advancing investments and enhancing the Cypriot economy. Speaking after the Invest Cyprus General Assembly, the Minister praised the agency’s work in 2023 and expressed optimism about future plans.
According to Cyprus News Agency, during the assembly, Invest Cyprus President Evgenios Evgeniou reported that foreign investments in 2023 amounted to pound 3.2 billion, resulting in the creation of 2,500 new jobs. Keravnos expressed satisfaction with these achievements and assured continued collaboration between the Ministry of Finance and Invest Cyprus to maintain the country’s economic momentum amidst global uncertainties.

Evgeniou highlighted that 800 technology companies have been established in Cyprus, contributing significantly to the economy, due to a strategic plan by the Ministry of Finance to attract specialized companies and talents. He concluded by stating that future investments would aim to strengthen the productive base through collaborations between Cypriot and foreign entrepreneurs.
