Limassol: The Cyprus Pedagogical Institute of the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth, in collaboration with the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT), the Cyprus Mathematical Society (CMS), the University of Cyprus (UCY), and the Hellenic Mathematical Society (HMS), is organizing an international conference titled “The Life and Contribution of Pythagoras to Mathematics, Science, and Philosophy.” This event will take place under the auspices of the Cyprus Minister of Education, Sport and Youth, Dr. Athena Michaelidou.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the conference is scheduled to be held at the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) in the ‘Tassos Papadopoulos’ Building, located at 1 Themidos Street, 3036 Limassol. The dates for the conference are Friday, 3 October 2025, from 15:00 to 18:45, and Saturday, 4 October 2025, from 8:30 to 18:00.
The event aims to honor one of the most influential figures in the realms of mathematics, science, and philosophy. Pythagoras’s legacy continues to inspire contemporary intellectual pursuits, and the conference seeks to gather mathematicians, scientists from various disciplines, philosophers, and scholars to discuss his enduring impact on science and humanity.
