The Minister of the Interior, Nicos Nouris, travels to Vienna on Thursday afternoon for bilateral contacts and the opening of an exhibition of the Embassy of Cyprus in Austria and the Press and Information Office (PIO), an Interior Ministry press release says.
It is noted that the Minister of the Interior will have a meeting on Friday morning with his Austrian counterpart, Gerhard Karner. During their meeting the two Ministers will review issues of common interest ahead of the upcoming informal Council in Stockholm next week, mainly immigration and Ukraine.
Nouris will be accompanied by Ambassador of Cyprus in Austria, Maria Michael, and Director of his Office, Loizos Michael.
It is added that in the afternoon of the same day, the Minister of the Interior will open the photographic exhibition “ELLE – The Woman in Antiquity” organised by the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Austria in collaboration with the Press and Information Office, at the National Library of Austria.
Nicos Nouris departs from Vienna on Saturday at noon, the press release concludes.
