House President Annita Demetriou has sent a letter of condolences to the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Kingdom of Morocco Rachid Talbi El Alami for the devastating earthquake that struck the country and which claimed the lives of thousands of people and caused great suffering and damages to historical sites and monuments. “In these very difficult moments, our thoughts are with the families of the victims, the injured and the rescuers who put huge efforts to limit human losses,” Annita Demetriou notes in her letter to her Moroccan counterpart, according to a House press release. At the same time, she expresses sincere condolences and great solidarity and support on behalf of all the Members of the House and personally herself, to the families of the victims, the Parliament and friendly people of Morocco.
