Hermes Airports Achieves Historic 13 Million Passenger Milestone

Nicosia: Hermes Airports announced on Monday that, ‘for the first time in the history of Cyprus’ airports’, passenger traffic has today reached 13 million travellers (arriving and departing) since the beginning of the current year.

According to Cyprus News Agency, this milestone demonstrates the strong and consistent growth of the country’s air connectivity, as a result of long-standing efforts and close cooperation between Hermes Airports, the tourism sector, and the State. The company emphasized that every milestone represents more than just a number, highlighting that 13 million passengers reflect 160 routes operated by 60 airlines across 41 countries, contributing to ongoing growth.

The announcement further confirms that Hermes Airports’ strategy to enhance the country’s connectivity is on the right path. The company expressed that this success encourages the pursuit of more ambitious goals, such as securing year-round connectivity and establishing direct flights with key international cities.

Hermes Airports also expressed its gratitude to all airlines operating in Cyprus, stakeholders with whom it maintains close collaboration, and every traveller who contributed to making this milestone a reality.
