Health Ministry says 55% of patients in hospitals unvaccinated, those vaccinated with booster shot reach 35%

The Health Ministry on Thursday said that 55% of the patients in hospitals, up until March 8, are unvaccinated while 35% of patients are fully vaccinated and with a booster shot. The figures were published in an effort to enhance transparency and properly inform citizens, it is added.

In a press release, the Ministry clarified that figures do not include post COVID patients. All numbers show that the risk for hospitalization of unvaccinated people is 4 to 7 times bigger than those who got their shots, it was noted.

Figures show moreover that partially vaccinated patients are 8%, fully vaccinated patients 2% and fully vaccinated with a booster shot 35%. A percentage of 80.5% those fully vaccinated with a booster jab refers to people aged 70 and over.
