Copenhagen:Minister of Health Neophytos Charalambides will represent the Republic of Cyprus at the 76th Session of the World Health Organisation (WHO) Regional Committee for Europe, scheduled to take place from October 27 to 29, 2026, in Copenhagen.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the WHO Regional Committee for Europe is the highest decision-making body of the organisation at the regional level and comprises 53 member states.

The committee is responsible for determining regional policy priorities in the health sector. During the 76th Session, participants will discuss strategic issues aimed at strengthening health systems and addressing contemporary challenges in the health sector. The meeting serves to enhance cooperation among member states and promote collective actions to protect and improve public health.
