Haris Loizides to Lead Cyprus Football Association as New President

Nicosia: Haris Loizides will be the new Cyprus Football Association (CFA) President as the deadline for submitting candidacies for the Association’s Presidency for football seasons 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 ended at noon on Saturday, and Loizides’ candidacy has been the only one submitted, ahead of the CFA Extraordinary General Electoral Assembly that will take place on June 24, 2025.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the CFA announced in a press release that the upcoming General Assembly will proclaim Loizides as the Association’s new President, for a two-year term covering the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 football seasons.

Loizides has held the position of Deputy President of the CFA since 2018. He has been involved in the administration of the Association since 2005 as a member of the Board of Directors, and in 2007 he was elected First Vice-President, simultaneously assuming the role of Chairman of the National Teams Committee.

Haris Loizides has represented the CFA in numerous UEFA and FIFA meetings and congresses.
