Nicosia: The Minister of National Defence of Greece, Nikos Dendias, is visiting Nicosia for a meeting with the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, and consultations with his counterpart, Vasilis Palmas.
According to Cyprus News Agency, Dendias will be received by President Christodoulides at noon. Prior to this, he will hold discussions with Cypriot Defence Minister Vasilis Palmas, after which both ministers are expected to address the press.
Spokesperson of the Defence Ministry, Christos Pieris, conveyed that Dendias’s visit to Cyprus comes following an invitation from Palmas. The leaders will engage in talks focusing on the continuation of cooperation and strengthening of bilateral relations between Greece and Cyprus, as well as discussing recent developments in the region.
