Greece’s FM to Hold Meeting with Turkish Counterpart on FAC Sidelines

Luxembourg: Greece’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, George Gerapetritis, is set to meet with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, on Monday. The meeting is scheduled to take place on the sidelines of the EU Foreign Affairs Council in Luxembourg.

According to Cyprus News Agency, Gerapetritis will also engage in bilateral discussions with his counterparts from Armenia, Trkiye, and Ukraine while attending the EU Foreign Affairs Council. These meetings are part of a broader diplomatic effort during the council sessions.

On the preceding Sunday, Gerapetritis addressed a statement made by Fidan regarding Greece’s position on Turkey’s involvement in the EU SAFE programme. He emphasized that Greece is committed to an active and consistent foreign policy grounded in the universal values of international law, asserting that it will not deviate from these principles. Gerapetritis also noted that any ‘suggestions and accusations’ were ‘not acceptable.’
