Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka joined Bayer Leverkusen, the German Bundesliga club announced Thursday. The Swiss international signed with the German club until June 30, 2028, it said. “With Granit, we have been able to win an absolute top professional for us,” said Bayer Leverkusen’s Sporting Director Simon Rolfes.
Xhaka, 30, joined Arsenal from Borussia Monchengladbach in 2016.
He netted 23 goals and made 29 assists in 297 appearances and won two FA Cups with the Gunners in 2017 and 2020.
