Zagreb: Marios Georgiou won the silver medal on the horizontal high bar at the European Artistic Gymnastics Championships being held in Zagreb, Croatia.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the Cypriot champion put in an outstanding performance, finishing second in the event with a score of 14.200, just behind Britain's Joe Fraser, who scored 14.300.
In addition to his podium finish on the horizontal bar, the 29-year-old athlete, coached by Panagiotis Petrides, was awarded the prestigious Zagreb 2026 Shooting Star Award by the European Federation in recognition of his perseverance and exceptional international career.
