Pissouri: Members of the Global Business Lawyers Alliance (GBL Alliance) network are set to convene in Cyprus from May 14-16, 2025, for a significant conference at Columbia Beach Resort in Pissouri. The event will focus on critical developments in the economy, taxation, compliance, and the banking sector.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the organisers emphasize the importance of attracting high-quality, sustainable, and lawful investment to Cyprus, which remains a key priority for the country. The Cypriot economy depends on a robust professional services sector, legal certainty, and international business expertise. The GBL Alliance represents 38 law firms and over 1,000 legal professionals, covering 45 jurisdictions across Europe, the Middle East, China, Africa, Mexico, and the United States. The decision to hold this year’s Spring Conference in Cyprus highlights the country’s strategic role as a hub of professional and commercial strength.
The conference will feature Irene Piki, the Deputy Minister to the President, as the keynote speaker. Other notable speakers include Haris Pistos, Director of International Banking at the Bank of Cyprus, Maria Gregoriou, a Barrister and Tax Law Expert, Marios Tannousis, General Director of Invest Cyprus, Antonis Frangoudis representing OEB, and Zacharias Manitaras representing CCCI.
