France-Cyprus Friendship Group Delegation Arrives in Nicosia for Official Visit

Nicosia: A delegation from the France-Cyprus Friendship Group in the French Senate has arrived in Cyprus for an official visit. The trip comes following an invitation from Harris Georgiades, the Chairman of the Foreign and European Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the delegation is led by Samantha Cazebonne, Chairman of the France-Cyprus Friendship Group. The group also includes Vice-Chairman Senator Didier Marie and member Valerie Boyer. During their visit, the delegation will be received by Annita Demetriou, President of the House, as well as George Papanastasiou and Alexis Vafeades, the Ministers of Energy and Transport, respectively.

The delegation’s itinerary includes separate meetings with Harris Georgiades, President of the Cyprus-France Friendship Group, and its members. They are also scheduled to meet with Dr. Simos Ioannou, Mayor of Famagusta, and members of the Famagusta Municipal Council at the Cultural Center of the Municipality in Deryneia.

Further engagements for the delegation include visits to the French-Cypriot schools in Nicosia and Limassol, the Cyprus Institute, and the Port of Limassol. They will also attend a lunch with the Mayor of Famagusta and members of the Delegation of the House of Representatives to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie.
