Foreign Ministry Issues Travel Advice for Cypriots Amid Middle East Developments

Nicosia: Due to regional developments in the Middle East, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus has issued a press release advising Cypriot citizens in the area to maintain vigilance. The Ministry recommends that citizens stay informed by closely monitoring announcements from local authorities, as well as updates from international and local media, and take maximum protective measures.

According to Cyprus News Agency, Cypriot citizens in the Middle East are urged to register on the Connect2CY online platform for Cypriots abroad and to follow the social media channels of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus and its Diplomatic Missions.

In the event of an emergency, Cypriot citizens are advised to reach out to the relevant Diplomatic Mission. The contact information for embassies in various countries, including Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Iran, Israel, Qatar, Kuwait, Lebanon, Bahrain, Oman, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Yemen, has been provided. Each embassy's address, telephone numbers, and email addresses are specified for easy access.

For those in Egypt, the embassy is located in Cairo, and citizens can contact the embassy via telephone or email. In Jordan and Iraq, the embassy in Amman is available. The embassy in Abu Dhabi serves those in the United Arab Emirates, while the Tehran embassy caters to those in Iran. Similarly, the embassy in Tel Aviv is available for citizens in Israel.

The Ministry has provided detailed contact information for Cypriots in other countries such as Qatar, Kuwait, Lebanon, Bahrain, Oman, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Yemen, ensuring that citizens can reach diplomatic assistance if necessary.
