Foreign Minister Pays Israel a Working Visit

Nicosia: Cyprus Foreign Minister Konstantinos Kombos is paying a working visit to Israel today, Sunday. Regional developments and Cyprus’ role in peace efforts top the agenda of scheduled meetings.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the visit will focus on discussing current developments and Cyprus’s active supporting role in peace efforts as a regional state, in cooperation with international and regional partners. Emphasis will be placed on the humanitarian field, security, and the Gaza reconstruction process within a sustainable political framework.

Kombos will meet with the heads of the Civil-Military Coordination Centre for Gaza, which was established in Kiryat Gat under the United States Armed Forces Central Command (CENTCOM), aimed at supporting the implementation of President Donald Trump’s 20-point plan.

Cyprus, along with other European Union member states, is participating in the Coordination Centre’s proceedings.

Following this, the Foreign Minister will meet with his Israeli counterpart Gideon Sa’ar.
