Cyprus Weather Update: Stable Conditions Expected for Coastal Waters

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has released a detailed forecast for the sea area of Cyprus, indicating stable weather conditions over the coming days. The forecast covers a period from midday on November 9, 2025, to midday on November 10, 2025, focusing on an 8-kilometer zone seaward from the coast.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the atmospheric pressure at the time of issuing the forecast is measured at 1020 hPa. The region is experiencing weak high pressure, resulting in mainly fine weather. Visibility is expected to remain good, with sea surface temperatures reported at 24°C. Importantly, no weather warnings have been issued.

For the West Coast, during the afternoon, winds will vary from west to northwest at a Beaufort scale of 3 to 4, occasionally reaching 4 locally, with the sea expected to be smooth to slight. At night, winds will shift to northwest to northeast at a Beaufort scale of 3, maintaining smooth to slight sea conditions. By morning, winds will transition from northeast to southeast, gradually changing to southeast to southwest at a Beaufort scale of 3 to 4, with the sea remaining smooth to slight.

On the South Coast, afternoon winds will be from the southwest at a Beaufort scale of 3 to 4, with the sea smooth to slight. Overnight, winds will change to northwest to north at a Beaufort scale of 3, and sea conditions will be smooth to slight. Morning winds will shift from northwest to northeast, gradually turning southeast to southwest at a Beaufort scale of 3 to 4, with the sea expected to stay smooth to slight.

For the East Coast, afternoon winds will blow from northeast to southeast at a Beaufort scale of 3, occasionally reaching 3 to 4 locally, with the sea smooth to slight. During the night, northwest winds at a Beaufort scale of 3 will prevail, keeping sea conditions smooth to slight. Morning winds will transition from northwest to northeast, then gradually to northeast to southeast at a Beaufort scale of 3, with the sea remaining smooth to slight.

Finally, the North Coast will experience afternoon winds from northwest to north at a Beaufort scale of 3 to 4, occasionally reaching 4 locally, with sea conditions smooth to slight. At night, winds will shift to southeast to southwest at a Beaufort scale of 3, with smooth to slight sea conditions. By morning, winds will change from southeast to southwest, then gradually to northwest to north at a Beaufort scale of 3 to 4, with the sea expected to remain smooth to slight.
