Forecast Indicates Calm Seas Around Cyprus for Early December

Nicosia: Cyprus Department of Meteorology has released its forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus, indicating calm and stable weather conditions for the period from 0600 on December 2, 2025, to 0600 on December 3, 2025. The forecast covers an area extending 8 kilometers seawards, with atmospheric pressure measured at 1019 hPa. The weather is expected to be partly cloudy, with good visibility and a sea surface temperature of 23°C.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the influence of weak high pressure is contributing to the stable marine conditions. The forecast details the wind conditions for various coasts of Cyprus: The West Coast will experience variable winds at Beaufort scale 3 in the morning, shifting to west to northwest 3 to 4 in the afternoon, and north to northeast 3 at night. Similarly, the South Coast will have variable winds at Beaufort scale 3 in the morning, changing to southeast to southwest 3 to 4 in the afternoon, with a local shift to southwest to west, before settling to northwest to n
orth 3 at night.

The East Coast is forecasted to have variable winds at Beaufort scale 3 in the morning, with a shift to southeast to southwest 3 in the afternoon, and northwest to north 3 at night. Meanwhile, the North Coast will see variable winds at Beaufort scale 3 in the morning, transitioning to southwest to northwest 3 in the afternoon, and southeast to southwest 3 at night. Throughout the period, the state of the sea is expected to remain smooth to slight, with no warnings issued for the area.
