Abu dhabi: Cyprus’ Minister of Foreign Affairs, Constantinos Kombos, met on Saturday in Abu Dhabi with United Arab Emirates (UAE) State Minister for Europe, Lana Nusseibeh, to discuss strategic bilateral relations and other significant topics.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the meeting’s agenda included discussions on Cyprus-UAE strategic bilateral relations, the upcoming Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU, and regional developments in the Middle East. Additionally, they discussed the EU-UAE relations and the UAE-Cyprus partnership on the “Amalthea” maritime corridor, which is aimed at enabling the effective delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
Cyprus’ Foreign Minister expressed his satisfaction over the meeting in a post on X, highlighting the importance of the topics covered and the ongoing cooperation between the two nations. The meeting underscores the significance of Cyprus-UAE relations in the context of broader regional and international developments.
